Conventional advertising channels no longer gets the attention, as the infectious virus of ignorance spreads among us, humans. As the world of advertising suffered from this disease, our Creative Superheroes didn’t just stay put. Striving to bring the peace and harmony back to the land that once was, an antidote was invented, developed, and refined. The antidote has many names. Some call it New Media, Guerilla, Buzz, Viral, Ambush, Grassroots, Wildfire, Stealth, and Ambient. Here, we simply call it: the Breakthrough. This issue will also feature some great events that were held along the Singapore Design Festival 2009 last month. Not forget to mention we are showcasing four design studios on this issue; they are Kult, Pixel Pastry, XOTL and S.C.A.N.D.A.L.

The DesignSutra team have been busy touring around Singapore from the 20th - 30th November for the Singapore Design Festival 2009. We went around to see exhibitions and events as well as the designers who showcase their design works in various places around the island. Not only we got inspired by the many design works out there, but we also met the designers who designed them and who are involved in the design festival. Steve Lawler, Vectorscum, Eeshaun are just some of the designers that we met in the various design exhibitions. Make sure you guys stay tuned for our next upcoming issue where you can find out more! DesignSutra does not only have a new website and identity, but we would also like to introduce our 2 new members into the team! Meet Eva and Cindy. They’re a nice and fun bunch who likes to *cough* eat *cough* a lot. Sadly at the same time, we have to say our goodbye to our previous member, Octavia and Willy who have decided to pursue their personal dreams. All the best for them. With so many things going on, DesignSutra is undergoing a major renovation that would make us even more great looking and passionate in what we do. We promise a whole-brand new DesignSutra with much more interesting content and design. We’re in the verge of releasing our upcoming issue. Bear with us just a little bit more :)
